We have begun to make a schedule for the first day of filming for our project. We have also made a large list of equipment and resources that we will need for carrying out the project and filming it. We have decided we are going to check out the best cameras we can from the COJMC. We also have a friend that has a great lighting setup in his apartment that we plan to use for all of our cooking shots. Several of the group members are already very proficient with cameras and editing, so the media part of the project should not be too challenging, the harder part will be telling a good story for our cooking show.
As far as my contributions, I have suggested that we have our main chef Jacob cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert and then we each try to prepare one meal that he will judge. I think this will provide more structure to our show and make for more of story. We have decided to use that format or at least something close to that format for our project. I think we just need more story ideas for the show because like I said before, that is the one thing that won’t come easy, unlike the media production part of the project.
